Blaine Reed

Blaine, Fire Tiger, started dancing ballroom at the age of 13, and teaching it at 17. He knows 17 styles of social dance, and specializes in Argentine Tango. Blaine has been involved with Seattle's Queer Tango scene from the very beginning, and is currently co-instructor for QRST's Fundamentals of Tango and Concepts in Tango classes and performs with the Queer Seattle Tango Performance Troupe. His other passion is for the violin, which he has played for 15 years, now currently with the Thalia Symphony.

From outward appearence Blaine could be described as "eccentric and dramatic", but in truth loves soft subtlety and professing that he will experience mundanity only in death. His legs are long, his boleo's fierce, and as a follower he's completely irreverent. Yet somehow he does his part to keep the tango moving. Don't be fooled by the kicks; the beauty lies in the eye of the Tiger.
